American Roadrunner - Nice to meet you!

This bird really came to life as I added the finishing touches! I'm putting him up for sale on Etsy - too bad I'm competing with 25 million other listings over there.

  

American Roadrunner

It's a work in progress - after sewing and stuffing and adding the legs, the bird suddenly transformed into a likeness of the Roadrunner - Beep Beep!

Finished an art-a-thon over at www.atcsforall.com and am ready to get back to bird making. These are some more wedge scraps that I will sew together and then cut out the bird parts. It makes for a very random pattern on the bird!

Orange and Blue

My favorite colors - orange and blue! This bird is sewn from scraps leftover from cutting wedges for the grandmother's fan quilt that my mother is making for me. I think I'll install a very small shelf on the wall by my bed for the bird to perch on.
